New Image Beauty Bar Founder Alicia Shapira Featured on the CBS hit show “The Doctors”

The pandemic caused a lot of uncertainty for many small business owners and Alicia’s company was no exception. New Image Beauty Bar is purely based on contact with clients so there were definitely challenges and obstacles with little guarantee of success. Alicia knew that like many businesses, pivoting was the only option for survival. Social media was the perfect outlet for Alicia and her small business. Alicia recruited the help of her sister and they took to social media, creating fun videos and posts that showcased their services and also provided some much-needed optimism on the internet. Their hard work paid off! With over 45 Million Views on TikTok it was official they had gone viral! Now is there time to shine, CBS’s the Doctors invited the founder Alicia Shapira and her leading Permanent Makeup Studio and Academy to be featured on the daytime hit show. New Image Beauty Bar was asked to demonstrate their revolutionary Brazilian Stretch Mark and Scar Camouflage Treatment. Alicia decided to donate this service and selected Necole a single mother with a full-time job working as a clerk for the Legislature in New York. Necole had inquired about getting Stretch Mark Camouflage Treatment but was unable to afford the service. Alicia knew it was the perfect opportunity to shine the light on Necole and give her the gift she had been waiting for. New Image Beauty Bar flew Necole into Florida and provided the Brazilian Stretch Mark Camouflage Procedure free of charge. This amazing feature will air on CBS on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021. Alicia is the first in the US to offer Brazilian Stretch Mark and Scar Camouflage, Scar and Under Eye Lightening Treatment. Alicia has revolutionized the industry through her technique and training. New Image Beauty Bar

With so many new and innovative beauty treatments out there, it’s hard to keep up. Of course, you have the popular “buzz” words in beauty down pat. Can we say “Botox”, “fillers”, “micro-blading”? It seems like there are so many options but for some of us, who haven’t stepped into the world of the new beauty trends, it’s a bit confusing and scary! Think you’ve seen it all? How about stretch mark camouflage? That’s right, there is a treatment out there that can actually camouflage your stretch marks! Say goodbye to creams and home remedies passed down for generations.

There is a new kid on the block, kid as in treatment and town as in this vast endless beauty industry. So, what is it? Does it work? Well, it is real and it seems to have some positive reviews! Meet Alicia Shapira founder, artist, and educator of New Image Beauty Bar in South Florida is the first in the United States to offer this treatment. Apparently, it is working, she has a huge following on social media with over 125 thousand followers and 45 million views on her posts to Instagram and TikTok.

Clients and students are flying in from all over the country to snag an appointment with this beauty guru. Alicia has revolutionized the industry through her technique and even offers training courses. Let’s face it, stretch marks are an annoying part of life, most people wish that they could make them permanently disappear. There is an entire industry built around creams, lotions, and even surgery to help conceal these imperfections, but a Brazilian tattoo artist developed a much simpler, more effective solution that Alicia Shapira studied and perfected to offer in the United States.

Skin or scar camouflage is tattooing of the skin with different colors of flesh tone pigments. Its purpose is to disguise a scar or skin area that is missing pigment or color. It is a specialized area of permanent cosmetics that falls under the category of Medical Dermopigmentation or Paramedical Tattooing. This process is also called Corrective Pigment Camouflage (CPC), Corrective Camouflage, Skin Re-Pigmentation, Scar Camouflage, Skin Camouflage, Camouflage Tattooing, and Skin Color Tattooing.

The science behind pigments and the physiology of human skin and tissue must be understood by the specialist performing these procedures. These procedures require advanced knowledge, training, skills, and experience in permanent cosmetics as well as an artistic eye for color and skin tones. It just goes to show that in the beauty industry anything and everything is possible.

Here are some quick FAQs for the treatment:

What type of scars and stretch marks can be camouflaged? The procedure helps to conceal the area to make it less noticeable. The most common areas performed are healed scars from a past injury, surgery, abdominoplasty, breast augmentation, and stretch marks.

Is it painful? Most Clients report that it is painless, some have commented that “it actually tickles”, “it feels like a gentle scratching”, or “it doesn’t feel like a tattoo”.

How long is the downtime? This is a non-invasive procedure similar to a tattoo. Therefore, there is little to no downtime and most Clients can resume daily living in the same day or the next day.

How long does it take? On average, a session is 1-3 hours depending on the area. For people searching for a quick fix and simply to be rid of their stretch marks, it looks like Brazilian Stretch Mark Camouflage is an incredibly attractive option.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alicia Shapira and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alicia, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story? my son What should our readers know about your business? I’m Alicia Shapira the founder of New Image Beauty Bar. I am known for being the first in the US to offer Brazilian Stretch Mark and Scar Camouflage, Scar and Under Eye Lightening Treatment. I specialize in an FDA-approved Vitamin Scar Lightening Treatment that I created and perfected through countless hours of researching my techniques. I am definitely proud of being able to offer my clients treatments that truly boost their self-esteem, for themselves!

The path to my career was full of twists and turns. I actually started out as a full-time Speech Pathologist/Cognitive Trainer with two of my very own schools that I owned and operated. I enjoyed every minute with my patients at the time, but I just kept dreaming of a career change into the cosmetic industry. They say you can change your career at least 3 times in your life, the thought to have to go back to school and start over was very scary but also extremely exciting!

Once I graduated Esthetician School, I knew I was ready to start doing Permanent Makeup and open my own business immediately. I knew when I put that permanent makeup pen to my first client’s face, I had made the right decision and followed my passion. I have never looked back since!   New Image Beauty Bar has given me the opportunity to reach so many clients from all over the world. Our services are so unique that they capture the attention of many followers on social media, we’ve even gone viral with over 3.6 Million views on TikTok!

By Selene Raj Alicia Shapira is no stranger to change— about seven years ago, she was a speech-language pathologist who decided she wanted to walk down a new career path. Today, she is an academy teacher and owner of New Image Beauty Bar. And, now, her beauty business has just undergone another change. She has moved to a new location in Coral Springs, the city where she grew up and lived in for almost three decades, before moving to Parkland. Previously located in the Target plaza on Wiles Road and US 441, New Image Beauty Bar moved in July to 7401 Wiles Rd in Suite #252 in the Whispering Woods Center—as Shapira sought a larger, more private space. New Image Beauty Bar offers a range of makeup, hair, body, and face services that include lash lift and tints, permanent makeup, hair simulation, and vitamin glow scar treatments. The beauty bar, as well as the academy Shapira runs, attracts clients and students from around the country and world, she said, especially because of their unique specializations. In addition to permanent makeup, fibroblast, and micro-needling, they also specialize in 3D areola repigmentation and Brazilian stretchmark and scar camouflaging. In fact, Shapira said she was proud to be the first person in the United States to be trained in the practice. Shapira learned to perform the procedure from its creator, Rodolpho Torres, from Brazil—now, she not only offers it to her clients but also trains others to do it. “People travel here from all over the world, from Singapore to Hawaii to the Netherlands, to travel and learn about [stretch mark camouflage],” she said. Despite her success, with the spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, threatening lives, and livelihoods, many small businesses, including hers, felt the consequences. “It was very scary. I didn’t know if we were all going to make it,” said Shapira. But, she’s adjusted—and the beauty bar currently sees one client at a time and operates by appointment to allow for teaching at the academy when they aren’t seeing clients. Now, she spends her days evenly split between teaching and seeing clients. “Being a teacher in this industry and seeing others succeed because of me is very cool,” she said. Mentoring is important to her, as is building relationships with clients. She also offers 3D areola repigmentation, and eyebrows, to former breast cancer patients for free. A service that can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars, repigmentation is often the final step in breast reconstruction for those with breast cancer. Shapira is happy to offer it at no cost, and as her own father is currently battling stomach cancer, it’s more near and dear to her heart than ever. “In October alone, I did between five and ten for free,” she said. Whatever clients come in for, she loves that people often leaving feeling better than they did when they walked in, and she’s passionate about adding to their confidence.   Be Sure to check out more at Coral Springs talk.   Contact Alicia Shapira for more information: (954) 774-5087 alicia.newimagebeautybar@gmail.com 7401 Wiles Rd. Alicia In The News: Tap Into Coral Springs “Coral Springs Beauty Influencer: “I Just Want To Help People Feel Happy””

CORAL SPRINGS, FL – As Alicia Shapira tells it, magazine models, reality TV show celebrities, and other glamour queens trickle in and out of her beauty salon in a not-so-fashionable retail strip in Coral Springs. They come for her lash-lifts-and-tips, hair simulations, and a slew of other makeup and body services, but also to be part of Shapira’s growing fashionista stratosphere. Coral Springs is no South Beach or Wynwood when it comes to social media influencers, but Shapira and her New Image Beauty Bar on Wiles Road stand out for their presence on Instagram and TikTok, where she’s gotten more than 250,000 likes. “I treat my clients like family,” said Shapira, 42, who grew up in Coral Springs and now lives with her husband and two-year-old son in Parkland. Her path to running a salon is a story of changing professions, re-inventing herself after a catastrophic accident, and following a childhood love of glamour and art. Shapira is a fast-talking businesswoman who is in constant motion. As her brand has grown, she’s no longer just applying makeup and getting women ready for big occasions in their lives. Shapira is also making a name for herself as an educator in the beauty services industry and in the world of microblading, permanent makeup, and a procedure called Brazilian Stretch Mark Camouflage, which uses pigment to hide stretch marks. She said her treatment is drawing clients from all parts of the world. Her salon offers free re-pigmentation and permanent eyebrows services to cancer survivors, she said. “It’s amazing to see how people react after our procedures,” she said last week, pausing to instruct her staff member on a client appointment. “They are so happy.” She found her calling in life after ending a short career as a speech therapist and before that a financial manager. She grew up attending Ramblewood Middle School and J.P. Taravella High School, and remembers, as a teenager, enjoying applying makeup on friends and being intrigued with the beauty and fashion industries. But her vision crystallized following a fall in a store when she was 30 and newly married. Her injuries required hospitalization, surgeries, and intensive physical therapy. She was in a wheelchair. “I thought my life was over. I thought I’d never walk again,” she said. “I did a lot of thinking and I changed my life and did something more fulfilling.” Eventually, she got better, put her energy into opening New Image Beauty Bar, and used her marketing talents to grow the business and catch the attention of the right clients. Shapira envisions opening another salon in Miami early next year and continuing to travel across the nation and to other countries to train others in beauty services. “My life has gone in such a good direction,” she said. “I just want to help people feel happy.”   Be sure to check out More on Tap Into Coral Springs.   Contact Alicia Shapira for more information: (954) 774-5087 alicia.newimagebeautybar@gmail.com 7401 Wiles Rd.
