PERMANENT EYEBROWS

The procedure fills in sparse eyebrows, reshapes poorly arched or uneven brows, and gives entirely new permanent eyebrows to anyone who has suffered eyebrow loss (from alopecia, burns, electrolysis). Furthermore, the procedure can drastically rejuvenate your appearance by creating a “non-surgical brow lift.”

The proper placement of eyebrows will open up your eyes and can actually change the appearance of the shape of your face. When you are working on eyebrows that don’t have a hairline, the eyebrows can be placed anywhere on the face, making this a much more advanced eyebrow procedure. It is important that the eyebrows be placed properly in terms of symmetry and that they are done with a three-dimensional hair stroke technique for them to appear natural.

It is also crucial that the permanent eyebrows be drawn on prior to tattooing to implement a stencil of the work to be done.

MICROBLADING

Microblading done correctly can be amazing. What a difference a few natural hair strokes and some shaping make!

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow procedure that is carried out by a qualified technician using a specialized hand tool that holds disposable micro blades.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The required pigment is deposited into the superficial dermis of the skin with the disposable microblade, which allows the technician to create crisp hair strokes that look like natural eyebrow hair.

HOW DOES IT DIFFER FROM SEMI-PERMANENT TATTOOING?

Microblading differs from conventional semi-permanent tattooing by the very fact that it is a manual procedure. When using a handheld micro-blade, the color is deposited closer to the surface than when a machine is used, leaving very fine and crisp hair strokes with no spilling under the skin.

WHO CAN HAVE MICROBLADING?

With all semi-permanent makeup procedures, it is the practitioner’s responsibility to make sure that there are no contraindications to treatment. If there is a medical condition, the clinic doctor will be consulted prior to treatment. REMEMBER: We have your best interests in mind.

HOW LONG DOES THE PIGMENTATION LAST?

Microblading tends to last between 18-36 months and after this period of time may need a color boost or refresh.

DOES IT HURT?

Like all semi-permanent procedures, microblading will require a topical anesthetic, which can be topped up throughout the procedure, making it relatively painless. Before having your microblade or micropigmentation procedure carried out, please be advised of the following…

Your technician will carry out a symmetry assessment. Asymmetry is dynamic: a result of a difference in the tone of the forehead muscles and sun exposure of the skin. Microblading will not correct dynamic asymmetries.

Please be advised that eyebrow technicians are NOT cosmetic surgeons. The realistic goal is not to create perfect symmetry, but to make a moderate improvement to enhance the facial characteristics which are already present. The technician has to follow your natural eyebrow contour.

Remember – no two eyebrows are ever truly identical!
