How Korean Beauty Influenced the US

Korean beauty is a term used to describe beauty products and services derived from South Korea. In Korea, we can see the use of beauty from ancient times, dating as far back as 57bc, where you can see ancient murals of women wearing blush, thin eyebrows and hairdressing.   That being said, it's no wonder why Korean beauty has such a huge impact on the beauty industry, around the world, including the United States. And we still see some of the most popular beauty trends coming from Korea. Even in 2020 we see lots of gloss eyeshadow, glossy lips and gloss highlighter, all trends from Korea.   New Image Beauty Bar Owner, Alicia Shapira, has always been a huge fan of Korean Beauty. She said, "My dream is to go to Korea one day to learn more about all the incredible beauty techniques they have." And she even practices Korean beauty at her Beauty Bar.Β BB Glow, Hyaluron Pen and Fibroblast treatments are all services Shapira offers, and all services stemmed from Korean Beauty.   BB glow is a semi-permanent pigment that is placed on your skin to give you a glow and even skin tone. Fibroblast-Skin tightening treatment is NON-invasive or NON-surgical procedure where no scalpels or any surgical instruments are used. Hyaluron pen is a needle-free, handheld device that uses high pressure to β€œinject” hyaluronic acid fillers into the lips. There are no needles and no punctures. The pressure is so strong that it can push small amounts of hyaluronic acid fillers into the lips each time the device is used.   We can't wait to see what other beauty trends come from Korea and be sure to follow us on all social media @newimagebeautybar to see all of our amazing procedures and services offered at New Image Beauty Bar.

Stretch Mark Camouflage Procedure – What to Expect?

Here at New Image Beauty Bar, we have students and clients fly in from all over the world to undergo our Brazilian Stretch Mark Camouflage Procedure. This technique was brought to the United States by Alicia Shapira, and is now offered all over the US, by all of her hand-trained students! This procedure uses flesh-colored pigment to literally camouflage the stretch marks, making them blend into your natural skin tone. The healing process takes a few months and some patients may want a touchup after they are fully healed. One of the biggest questions we always have is what to expect with healing. You will see in the photos below, a patient before treatment and directly after. The stretch marks will appear red and swollen at first, but will subside within 72 hours after treatment. It is important to avoid sun exposure for the first 6 weeks after treatment and avoid sweating and vigourous exercise for the first few days.   The full healing process will take around 90 days. Take a look at these photos below which show a step by step healing process of a patient who underwent Brazilian Stretch Mark Camouflage for her thighs and buttocks. There will be a big change in the marks between 2 and 3 months, so we always ask our patients to wait the full 3 months to see final results.   This treatment can be used to treat any part of the body! Stretch marks can appear on the knees, back of the neck, arms, calves, you name it, we can treat it! To learn more feel free to contact us at New Image Beauty Bar! PMU Classes During COVID-19?

A lot of things have changed this 2020 and many of us have had to adapt. With new protocols, limited capacity and social distancing, some have had to make changes, and this goes for the beauty industry as well. Many permanent makeup artist training courses are done in larger groups of students and teachers, which could pose a problem during the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, at New Image Beauty Bar all of our students receive one-on-one training with Alicia Shapira. This not only helps comply with COVID-19 protocols, but it also gives each of her students a tailored and high-quality training experience. Each student is monitored and guided through the whole training, allowing them to get the best training possible!   Our top priority at New Image Beauty Bar has always been our clients, and we are happy to continue providing our clients and students with a safe and comfortable space. A few benefits of training one on one:
  • High-quality interactions where students feel heard.
  • Low-stress environment frees students from fear of failure
  • Less interaction and spread of germs
  • Alicia can gauge the student's progress and mastery
  • Gives students the opportunity to step up and no rely on others.
  • Avoids overstimulation and eliminates distractions
  • Ability to personalize training

The Best Way to Get Rid of Stretch Marks

Today we dive into the age-old question, of how to get rid of stretch marks. Dermatologists and skincare experts have been searching, for years, for the perfect formula to get rid of stretch marks, and still today there is no one right answer. Some resort to moisturizing oils, micro-needling, and laser treatments, although these results are never too impressive. These treatments all seek a way to get rid of stretch marks, which is virtually impossible, without surgery. But what about making them disappear? Alicia Shapira, of New Image Beauty Bar, is the only Brazilian Stretch Mark Camouflage Tattoo master in the United States. Shapira is only one of two who was taught by the inventor of this method, Rodolfo Torres of Brazil, and she continues to teach and treat people from all over the world. This treatment is not only great for stretch marks, but it is the best option for scars as well! This treatment is within a specialized area of permanent cosmetics, that falls under the category of Medical or Paramedical Tattooing. This process is also called Corrective Pigment Camouflage (CPC), Corrective Camouflage, Skin Re-Pigmentation, Scar Camouflage, Skin Camouflage, Camouflage Tattooing, and Skin Color Tattooing. The science behind pigments and the physiology of human skin and tissue must be understood by the specialist performing these procedures. These procedures require advanced knowledge, training, skills, and experience in permanent cosmetics as well as an artistic eye for color and skin tones. See below some of Alicia Shapira's client results: Do note, this treatment can only be used for patients whose stretch marks are lighter than their natural skin tone. To see if you qualify for this procedure you can call or text (954) 774-5087 or email alicia.newimagebeautybar@gmail.com.
